Bitts are a pair of posts on the deck of a ship for fastening mooring lines or cables. These bitts can be used in multiple scales as the shape remains the same whether it is small enough to hold in your lap or large enough to secure an ocean liner.

The bitt measures 5.87 mm/0.231″ – the length in various scales are:

    Scale Ratio bitt length

    O (US) 1:48 11″

    OO 1:76.2 17.56″
